On February 6, Xingtai Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and Shandong Molong Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd. officially signed a contract on the promotion and application of HIsmelt smelting reduction technology in the smelting field, Chairman of Xingtai Steel Zhang Yuming and Executive Director and General Manager of Shandong Molong Group Li Zhixin signed a contract on behalf of both parties, which marks that the relocation and renewal project of Xingtai Steel with a total investment of 13.2 billion yuan was fully launched.

　　HIsmelt smelting reduction technology is a metallurgical technology of smelting reduction by Shandong Molong to build a green metallurgical enterprise. Compared with the traditional technology, it eliminates the links of high pollution and energy-consuming in the traditional long process such as sintering and coking, reducing the pollution of production to the environment. It is calculated that CO2 emissions can be reduced by more than 20% , which can play an important role in the future production of high quality and high purity steel.。

　　At the signing ceremony, Zhang Yuming, Chairman of Xingtai steel, introduced the relocation and renewal project of Xingtai steel and its future plan. He pointed out that facing the opportunity of double carbon transformation and responding to the global low-carbon development situation, Xingtai Steel joins hands with Shandong Molong Group to build a world class special steel wire rod benchmark enterprise featuring short process. He believed that in the near future, the relocation and renewal project of Xingtai Steel will become a successful model in the industry.
